Re: Can we take anything for Allergies?

When I was sick at the end of my preg. with DS my ob said I could take Sudafed (without the PE) from my sinuses.
Check with your doctor, because you definitely can!

I was told Benadryl and Claritin (but try to stay away from Claritin-D if you can).

I am really surprised at that because Zyrtec has such a sedating effect on so many people. I guess everyone is different.

Re: Can we take anything for Allergies?

I took Claritin last week and it did NOTHING. My dr. is very conservative and just wrote me a script for Zyrtec. I agree with pp, it made me very drowsy, but so far it cleared me up to sleep at night...and now it is drying me out I am SO thirsty and my skin is dry.

Re: Can we take anything for Allergies?

My Dr. ok'd either Claritan or Zyrtec as well as Rhinocort. To be honest Rhinocort works the best. I take it with the Zyrtec or Claritan.
