Who else feels that time is standing still?

I knew this would happen around this time - The last couple of weeks we had so much going on between going away, Easter, and then my baby shower that time would fly.

BUT NOW - We have NOTHING going on. I have pretty much stopped working all together, I have a few showers over the next couple of weeks but that's really it.

I look at the clock constantly and can't believe how slow time is passing.

What can I do to speed it up a little - otherwise this will be a longgggg six weeks.

And the babies room is completely done so I can't do any more with that.

Did you do a journal?

I started a memory book. I put the sonogram into it. Photos of my and DH.

It's like scrapbook but the pages are already laid out for you and you just fill it up.

No, someone else had mentioned doing a scrapbook or a memory book- I could do that - I just feel like I'm not that creative. Chat Icon

lol - I know! I can leave the house - but really - WHERE THE HELL AM I GOING??? The only places I have been in the last two weeks have been BBB and BRU. I have everything I need now. I can't walk that much because either I feel the baby is so low and going to pop out any second --- OR I am constantly looking for a bathroom.

I feel like I have no where to go and nothing to do. We've been a little slow here on LIF lately too.

I can start putting the babies things together but don't know if they will be too complicated and will need DH to do it (although I'm far better at that stuff then he is)

I know I am such a complainer but I just don't know how I will get through the next six weeks. I am so excited because next week I have the Winthrop tour, a Drs appt, and a closing!! That will keep me busy for next week I guess.

Sorry for rambling. Chat Icon

That's why I am doing the memory book with the pages just to be filled out!!!! Chat Icon

- Do you have your hospital bag ready?
- Did you make a list of the lists of things to do?
- Did you read all books on Childbirth, BF, etc..?

I wish I was off...Chat Icon

I can't stand it to still be working. I sit all day long, I am now down to the flip flops since my feet/ankles are so swollen.

I feel the opposite...not enough time but that's because we were not as good as you and fell behind on so many things.

Have you:

- Washed some of Jack's clothes, fold and put away?

- Made space in the kitchen for his bottles and such?

- Made space for his bath items?

- Set up the baby monitor & test it?

Its ok to complain..it sucks being bored!

I have turned Abby into a cat with the amount of sleeping we do....Sleep late and often, it may not happen for a while...

I read, I re-organize his room a LOT...LOL

Watch the two hours of baby story and stuff on TLC from 2-4 pm...LOL

Sit on here....Look on Ebay for cool things for the baby....

And I am gonna try to do the scrapbook thing of my shower...a small one...

Re: Who else feels that time is standing still?

Oh... can you start doing some cooking? I plan on doing that.

Then you can freeze meals or individual portions for after you come back from the hospital. I was told, the last thing you want to do is cook.

I think I might do this too

Or why dont you try going to Super Suppers as an outing? Make some meals to freeze?

Re: Who else feels that time is standing still?

I already made a list starting at week 34 what we need to do each week. Putting items together, washing onesies and sheets, setting up the monitors, picking up the bassinet etc. So I could start doing some of that stuff now - but I wanted to space everything out.

The cooking thing is a good idea but I know that my family is already talking about have food catered to me for the first few weeks so I don't want to end up having too much in the house.

I talk to my dog like she is a full on human being now. She is like my only interaction during the day - it's pretty sad.

Well, it's either the dog or the computer.
