reduced movement?
All day I have barely felt Noah move, just a few times, even after eating and poking him endlessly.
But I checked his heartrate with the monitor 2x's and it seems to be fine.
Anyone just get a day of decreased movement?
I do NOT want to call the Dr.....Im just worrying as always.

How many weeks are you? When I got to about 36 weeks, she stopped moving as much because she was so crammed in there. If you're really worried, definitely call, but it is common for them to slow down towards the end.

34 weeks today.
I dont want to call, b/C its after hours, there is nothing they can do. I have a specialist's appointment tommorow, but thats if I dont worry myself CRAZY before tommorow!

I know that there was someone on here not to long ago that had a simular type of thing for a couple of days...
Im a worry wart too..I always call the doctor though...After what happened to me the first time around I dont take any chances.

I have noticed that the movements are not as often but they are stronger.
Can you try eating something that will get him moving a bit?

I will tell you this, though, I had a growth sono at like 36 weeks and Ava was SO asleep that they had to put some vibrating thing on my belly to wake her up and she still didn't move. They knew she was ok rfom her heartbeat, but they practically jumped on my belly and nothing! He's probably resting up

around that time DD started to really move less and less- I delivered slightly early- 36 1/2 weeks... so around 34 weeks I suppose shew as starting to prepare.

I just felt 2 small moves, so maybe Im just not feeling it, maybe hes just wiggling...LOL

Donna- I noticed the same thing over the past few days. JUST when I start to get a little freaked out, I'll get like 20 movements in an hour. I have an appointment on Wednesday, but have contemplated calling sooner.....

I remember around that time that he would go a couple days without moving a whole lot (heartrate was fine) and then suddenly he would be really active and my belly would grow noticable.
It was like he was resting up for a growth spurt.

Ok...I have had this too...Slow movement and then a CRAZY day the next day.
Today was just sooo slow, After eating, soda, nothing, I was getting nuts ya know? Am still feeling nuts....I am starting to relax....

I believe you're thinking of me, from last Friday. I am 32 weeks, and she was definitely moving so much less Weds/Thurs/Fri, that I was concerned. I had been on my feet, bending, etc at work a lot on Tues/Weds, so I was just a little nervous that I overdid it. Friday morning, DH had me drink a whole pint glass of OJ and then I laid back in bed for 45 minutes (both of which would have baby going crazy), and I felt nothing, so I was definitely worried.  I went to the Dr. on Friday, they did a sono and non-stress test...thankfully everything is fine, she is just very inactive this last week after being super active for a week or so before that. Plus, she's generally a lazy baby I think, I don't ever get kicked 'hard' or in painful places. At the appointment, the tech wanted her to kick and kept prodding her for like 5 minutes, she finally gave a small kick, and they even put that crazy noisy thing to my belly to make her jump...LAZY!
But, when I was at the Dr's, I was feeling guity for going in, since thankfully everything was ok, but she said if you ever just don't feel right, call them...that's what they're there for.
I'm sure everything is fine, baby is just vegging for a few days. I'd have something sweet or with caffeine, then lay right in bed on your left side for a while, and really pay attention to your body...the kick intensity may have changed, which happened to me...she barely kicks now, I just feel her leaning outward against by skin in different places and feel a bulge, I don't really feel kicks lately. Definitely mention it at your appointment tomorrow though!

Christopher was never a big mover and he is pretty active since birth.
Honestly tho, they have off days where they sleep all day or whatnot. I am sure he is fine, especially since you get a response when you poke around

HI, I understand how you feel. When I was 34 weeks, I stopped feeling movement for a whole day and freaked out. The Dr sent me to L&D to get checked out. What happened was- the baby was lying sideways all along, and then turned- head down.
So, don't worry. just call your Dr in the morning.

I did the same thing yesterday(I drank oj, and 1/2 can of soda and a chocolate and nothing! moved my belly up and down a bit talked to him, and nothing, usually if dh puts his head on my belly he gets whacked but nothing,,,) and today seems like
Eddie had the hick-ups all day, it was a relief,,,so by tomorrow there will be more movement don't worry!!! let the baby rest a bit.

i have definitely felt less movement, but i assumed it was because they were just too cramped. even for my last biophysical, they would not move and the girl was practically jumping on my belly to get them to move. one baby waved its hand around, almost like saying "hey, cut it out, we're sleeping!!"

As you get further along, the baby will move less and less, because there is not much room in there, so it is cramped....no need to worry
