My silly phobia is fear of open spaces....fields, large rooms etc
I think its called Agorophobia( opposite of claustrophibia) I dont know why but i like being in tight spaces but open spaces freak me out!
Also, I have a huge fear of fish in water. DH and I went snorkeling in Cancun and I had such a panic attack when they were swimming around me. So embarrassing

* Escalators - when they were first invented one of my grandma's cousins lost a finger in one, I've been freaked out ever since she told me that when I was about 8 years old.
* Street gratings - when my mom was a kid in Brooklyn one of her cousins fell into the basement of a restaurant that hadn't secured the grating correctly. DH used to tease me about how I walk around all of them when we walk around NYC.

Birds- or anything with wings- like bats or even butterflies.
I can't stand the thought of those wings flapping near my face or them flying into my hair and flapping around! 
I remember the movie Jeeper's Creeper's- that flying beast thing with those nasty wings- I wanted to die!!!

Movies with blood or tv shows with blood...does that count? I'm talking, I have serious issues when I have to choose a movie at blockbuster with DH and forget me EVER watching a show like the Sopranos. I have to hide my eyes. I have a very vivid imagination and will end up with nightmares if I watch something that has a lot of blood & guts.

Bees.. I start screaming, flailing my arms and running.. its quite funny to watch! 
I have always hated bugs in general but I am deathly afraid of those cave crickets or "jumpers" as I like to call them. Those ***** things freak me out as they jump in all crazy directions. Ughhh the thought alone makes me shudder.
Matches, I will not light a match. I burned myself when i was younger and am afraid of them now.
Tornados.. they are just totally terrifying to me. Hence the reason you will never see me moving to the midwest any time soon.
Thats about it...

* Flying (as in an airplane)
* Clowns (LOVE having to bring my son on a class trip to the circus)
* Heights (can't even watch people on a roller coaster)
* Bugs (especially if they get in the house. I won't sleep if I know there is a bug in the house and my DH didn't kill it)
* The sound of styrofoam or the cotton in a pill bottle (I have the chills right now just thinking about it)

I cant have closets open at all, hate bridges, Rats, Also scared to death of flying, its the take off anf landing that kill me. Little planes, like those puddle jumpers oh no. I would rather fly out of my way then have to take on of those. We had to when we went to StLucia, and lets say DH was not happy with me on the 11/2 flight. I flipped out on the plane, no air. I was crazy.

Water - oceans, not pools. I HATE having to hold my breath. Also anything covering my face (again - obstructing breathing).
On our honeymoon my DH convinced me to go parasailing.....holy moly, did I freak out. I just had my eyes closed the entire time and cried. I wasn't bothered by the height, but if we fell, it was into the water.
Oh, and public speaking - speaking to a group of any size. I am incredibly shy. I had to sit in front of a large group and just press the projector button at work. I was a mess.

Stairs... I"m petrified that I'm going to fall down them. It doesn't stop me from using the stairs, but I take my time getting down them and I don't breath until I'm at the bottom safely!

Oh the cotton, me too. My brother when we were younger, emptied an entire bag of cotton balls into my bed, he put them under my pillows, down by my feet. UHHH I almost killed him. I use tweezers to take it out of the bottle. I cant even have the girl use it when I get a mani/pedi, I cringe.
