How is too much flouride harmful?
A couple of you mentioned using vitamins with fluoride and water with fluoride. I asked the ped and she said its fine as long as the amount in the water isn’t as much as in the vitamins. She said the water usually doesn’t have anywhere near the amount the vitamins do. So when I went home I checked the nursery water I use and it had .7 and the vitamins have .25. I gave him this for like a month. Can this harm him?

Well we are now. We were just giving that b/c I found it to be around the same price as other bottles water.
Does anyone use water from the fridge? We have the water thing on the fridge. Is that ok to use rather than buy water?

Re: How is too much flouride harmful?
The water from my fridge has a filter on it so I feel comfortable using it. Also, how much water do you have to look at the concentration of the fluoride. I just looked up the Nursery Water. It is 0.7mg of fluoride per liter of water. So, unless he is drinking 300mL (which is about 10 ounces) of the water, he is not getting as much as he gets from the vitamins.

I use the water out of the fridge disperser and then I boil it just to be on the safe side. Then, I keep a small bottle of that water in the fridge.

Re: How is too much flouride harmful?
I don't know how much floride is harmful but I do know that my ped told me too much floride can cause florosis. He told me not to use the nursery water, just plain bottled water or filtered water is what I use.
