When in the world is someone going to invent...
A way to keep a binky in a baby's mouth?????
Cailen will suck and suck, about to fall asleep, and then I hear a light THUMP in the bassinet, know its the binky, and then the cries start allll over again!!!

there is something out there. Ladies use it...it's like a beanie baby animal thingy.
Yes wonderful description I know, but hopefully one of the mommies that use it will respond.

I also read about a way to get them to hold onto the paci, and it works.
While they are using it, when they are awake, LIGHTLY tug on it, not so hard that it will come out. Your baby should respond by sucking it back in - do that several times a day - eventually they will learn how to keep it in their mouth at all times. It worked with Alex

OK - that makes sense - I know when he starts to fall asleep while drinking his bottle I do that and he sucks it back in - and I do it w/ the binky to see if he wants it - I will try to do it more often during the day...

I am going to try that as well. It kills me, Taylor will be so peaceful and once that binky falls out...all hell breaks loose!

we do that too, its a game of tug of paci!...we also had to have samantha cry it out(after about two weeks of her waking up every two hrs which had never happened before!) and now she no longer uses it as a crutch.....just when she is in a new place and uncertain during the day...so no problem after all!
