Really nervous about hair coloring....
I just found out I was pregnant and really didnt think that I was. So I got my haircolored 2 days ago, but I got a BFP today. (I had all AF symptoms, including spotting so I thought I was out). I actually got my hair colored back to its natural color because I didnt want to be dying it in case I get pregnant. But now I am so nervous because I had a touch up done on the roots and it actually burned my scalp alot, which has never happened before. Help!!!

You are fine.  Stressing about it is worse than the actual coloring of your hair.

You're right! I just planned on being such a perfect pregnant mom, doing all the right things... I didnt think I was pregnant and feel like I did all the wrong things that I wouldnt have even done normally since I didnt realize it.

You're right! I just planned on being such a perfect pregnant mom, doing all the right things... I didnt think I was pregnant and feel like I did all the wrong things that I wouldnt have even done normally since I didnt realize it.
My SIL colored her hair throughout her pregnancy. Some people say after the first trimester and some sources say not at all. I'd just ask my doctor.
Oh and your scalp may have burned because your skin can be sensitive during pregnancy.

Many doctors say to live your life until you actually get the BFP. I wouldn't worry!

I'm 39 weeks preggo and did the same thing.Plus, I was on a cruise and had a couple of drinks everyday before getting my BFP and my little fella is fine. My doctor said at that point the baby is getting so little from you that there wasn't anything to worry about. She also told me that getting my hair done was fine after the first trimester(although there is debate about that amoungst the "experts").

My doctor says coloring your hair is fine!!! He wouldnt recommend coloring it every week but the few times during pregnancy is fine...
I actually have my DH do it for me and we go outside...I know it sounds so funny but he does a great job and saves me a ton of money...
Shhhhh dont tell b/c he would be sooo embarrassed if anyone knew!

its funny b/c I just realized that I was PG when I colored my hair too. Single process too. We went for 2 sono's and everything looks good.
I won't be coloring my hair now, but I would not worry about it.

I'm pretty sure that before 6 weeks the embryo doesn't take anything from the mother's blood stream (just what's in the uterus lining - which is already there)
I wouldn't worry - I had a bunch of wine before I found out for my first and this one

I highlighted my hair at 6 weeks and the doctor said it was fine and that I can continue to get touch-ups throughout my entire pregnancy.
