How long before the due date should your shower be?

I finally convinced my mom that mine does not need to be a surprise so I can help plan it!

I am due 10/14, what month should the shower be? August?

I'm due May 9th and my shower was 3/31.

I would say 6 weeks or so before....but I just had mine yesterday at 37.5 weeks and I am BEAT today, but it was totally worth it.

Due May 31, my shower is April 21. I would have liked it 2 weeks sooner tho. So I would say 6-8 weeks before.

I like 6-8 wks so you have time to set-up the nursery, wash the clothes, see what you did not get and buy it, etc....

Nothing like a last minute shower 2 wks before you are due, then go in early labor and nothing is ready. Or having to rush to the store to get the items you did not get.

I'm w/ you on the planning....my mom had my shower yesterday which was fairly early (but only b/c we couldn't get a date in May w/ communions). I'm due in 13 weeks...but I feel it is great having it early b/c now DH has time to put things together & get organzed & see what we have/don't have.

Mine is going to be on June 3rd and I'm due Aug 20th. I think it is too early (11 wks before im due), but my parents will be away the entire month of July and only return 8 days before my due date and given that June is such a popular month with weddings/graduations, my mom and sister had to do it on the first weekend.
I think 6-8 weeks before it a good time though!
Last minute showers are tricky bc you never know if you are going to go early (and u want to get everything ready) - so I wouldnt do it later that 6 weeks before!

I will have one at 31 weeks and one at 32 weeks. I wanted plenty of time in case I went into labor early and I also want time to buy the stuff that I don't get at my showers

My shower will be in June and I am due in August.

mine is going to be prob 3-4 weeks before, i would have prefered it earlier but we have 3 families and someone had something every weekend so my DH is trying to accomadate everyone

I am due Aug. 7 and my shower will be June 23. I also talked my mom into it not being a surprise. We are having so much fun plan it together.

my shower will be on April 29th and I am due June 17th, so around 6 weeks before...

My shower is May 19 and I'm due June 27. (I'll be 34 1/2 weeks)

Mine will be at 30 weeks - I think that is a good time - as you will still be comfortable enough to enjoy it and gives you time if you need to set stuff up or exchange. I would say 29-33 weeks is a good time.

Mine will probably be a little early -- when I'm between 25 and 28 weeks, but only b/c I live out of state right now and that's when I'm visiting "home".

My baby shower came just in time. My daughter was born 5 weeks early and my shower luckily was the week before she decided to be born.

Im due Aug 7 and although i dont know when my shower is, i really hope its at the end of may/beg of June. Its goign to be hot, and i dont want to have to worry about setting everything up the last few weeks of pregnancy. 8 weeks is enough time to set up, get the stuff i need, and hopefully still relax for a weekend.
