Or just Delta overseas? How are they? Recommend?
The only other option is Aer Lingus unless we went to fly Continental but they only leave from Newark which we can't stand.
TIA!

We just flew Aer Lingus to Ireland last week and they were not bad at all. The only thing is you have to pay for any food that you want on the plane, otherwise I have no complaints. We were actually bumped to First Class (which was amazing), but the other people we flew with who were in coach said they were fine. We flew from JFK.

I've only used Aer Lingus and Sceptre (run by Aer Lingus)
My boss uses Continental mostly and has no problems.

Re: OT: has anyone used Delta to fly to Ireland?
We have flown Delta from Manchester to NY and compared to British Airways (which has excellent service) I thought they were a bit shoddy. When I left NY the lady tried to charge me money for my excess baggage for Noah's small bag, she gave me a really hard time, but as soon as her boss (or supervisor or whatever) moved away, she said to me, don't worry about it, I had to do that for my boss...so whatever.
To be honest, for me, my first priority with flying is that I get a good price flight with no stopovers. I would fly any airline if they could provide me with that. We recently flew US Airways from MAN - Philly and Philly to Tampa...their international service was excellent, but their domestic was terrible! Go figure!!!

Re: OT: has anyone used Delta to fly to Ireland?
Pay for food now? Ugh! That's horrible. Is it expensive? I've been nervous to fly Aer Lingus because they haven't been a great as they were in the past. The gov't has been wanting to sell the company for awhile now and I was always afraid it would get sold to a company that would run it into the ground and we'd have a horrible flight.
DH's cousin is an air hostess but she's not always on a NY flight. If we decide to go with Aer Lingus, we are going to try to see if she can finagle it so she's on ours and if we can get bumped up too.
