OK...so my stroller issues have INCREASED

DH is having an issue with the $$ factor of the Combi and the fact that the salespeople couldn't figure out how to get the carseat in there.

So now....he wants to go with a cheaper option of buying a lightweight single for Alyson and using our Graco Travel System for the baby until Alyson is old enough for a Sit N Stand.

Not only am I back at square one....but I'm worse off in making a 2nd stroller decision!Chat Icon

You need a double stroller IMO. You cannot push 2 strollers at once.
Have you considered the DuoGlide?

I bought one at a garage sale for like 30 bucks here. You can find something in the mean time. I'd be surprised if it couldn't fit. Even the garage sale stroller, we rigged to fit our carseat, safely.

Did you fully or partically recline the combi?

ETS: The first stroller I got at a garage sale was not the combi...

Shana get the Sit n Stand with teh 2 seats. The back seat has a foot rest, so Aly's feet won't be in the basket. And even if they are, so what? It's only for a few months. That one $180, the regular sit n stand is $150. I paid $200 for my duoglider and then $150 for the sit n stand. Such a waste of money.

Re: OK...so my stroller issues have INCREASED

unless you plan on your DH going with you everytime you need to go out when you have the second, you will realize that you Definately need a double.
Why dont you try EBAY or Craigslist for a better price?

I got my Combi double about 40% cheaper bc I bought the one on display at a botique in Brooklyn. They didnt have anymore in stock. (By the way-I hated the combi double)

Re: OK...so my stroller issues have INCREASED

Shana-We're back at square one too. I just can't bring myself to spend 300 bucks on another stroller quite yet. We like a stroller then go see it in person and find a negative about it. The duoglider used or not is absolutely out for us, it's a monster heavy stroller. I broke a sweat in the store trying to fold and unfold that thing. Let alone imagining myself trying to pick it up to put it in the trunk of my Murano.

We are going to wait until she is born and see exactly what the logistics will be and what our needs will be. I think i may hold out for the sit n stand wayy down the line-prob next summer when Gianna is 2.

Dh or someone is always with me when we go out, so i will only need a double for walks by myself.

I love all my single strollers, well except the graco travel system one-it's okay but the doubles are driving me insane!!

The sit and stand with two seats, do both seats recline?

That to me doesnt sound pracital. I actually found 2 strollers on Craigslist but never got a response from the seller. I think I am leaning towards the double sit-n-stand. I wanted a sit-n-stand anyway so this seems perfect for us and I do not have to get a new infant carrier which was biggy for me. But I made the mistake of showing DH the new Graco Tour Duo and he really liked it but ultimately since I am the one with the babies all day I need to feel comfortable with it and same goes for you.

Re: OK...so my stroller issues have INCREASED UPDATED

OK...so I found a double Combi on craigslist the next town over....it's not THE model I was after, but it will take one of their infant carriers and it was hardly used for a pair of twins!

I'll be checking it out!

Did you know they have an adaptor that can make almost any stroller a sit and stand, I just got a catalog in the mail that had it in there...

Re: OK...so my stroller issues have INCREASED

I'm just curious as to why it's SO important that the stroller can hold a carseat? I decided that loving the stroller was more important to me than a feature that I probably wouldn't use for very long, so Ichose a stroller based on how much I liked it and all of it's functions rather than having the carseat attachment be the deciding factor. I just picked my infant up out of the carseat and layed him in the stroller. If I REALLY didn't want to wake him up, I used the Snap N Go and my older son (who was 17 months old when my second was born) walked with me, OR was in a single stroller with my husband.

We have had our double stroller for 2 years now and it served us well. My little guy was out of the infant carseat at 3 months old (he was very long), so I'm glad I didn't make my decision based on a feature that would have lasted 3 months.
