update on me and question......
hey ladies
on monday morning, i had light spotting (pinkish brown and when i wiped - sorry tmi)
i went to the drs and they did an internal sono and took some blood... if my numbers were right i should have been 6 weeks exactly (my last period started 2/5).. she saw the sac and the yolk but no fetal pole and no heartbeat.... this had her a little concerned!
tonight the results of my blood work came back - my beta was at 43,000 and the progesterone at 15.7.... she said she would have liked that number to be at least 17 and is going to put me on suppositories...
she said although the numbers seem good - she is a little concerned that with a beta number of 43,000 that she should have seen a fetal pole....
she is having me come back in for a sono and hopefully my first prenatal appointment on next wednesday -
my question to others familiar with these numbers and stuff - is it possible that it was just too early to see the heartbeat and fetal pole.. and that maybe everything will be ok... we are hoping so.. research online said that can happen in the 6th week...
and advice would be great

I don't know too much about the #s, but as for the heartbeat, it's supposed to happen in the 6th week....it's possible when you were there, you weren't quite 6 weeks by some biological fluke you could be off a few days.
I only say this b/c I know exactly when I conceived and it would change my due date by about 3 days. My cycles are RARELY 28 days and very rarely under 30...plus we only BD once that whole week when I could've had a chance of conceiving.

OK, I am probably going to just add to the confusion but.....
at 5 weeks and 5 days I had a sono. The only concern the doctor had at that point was to see if the pregnancy was in my uterus and confirm that it was not ectopic. We saw only a yolk sac, plus some sign of a structure starting to form within it.
at 6 weeks and 6 days I had another sono. we saw a heartbeat.
every single day makes a difference in the first few weeks.

My dates are always way way way off...so I wouldnt worry to to much about that..possible I guess that you just ovulated late like I do..at my first appointment I should of been about 7 weeks and we saw NOTHING...Happens that I just ovulated late and was a lot less pregnant..Additionally at 6 weeks my Progestrone was 5..started progestrone and I'll be 15 weeks on Friday..

ok that i was hoping - ive been doing a ton of research and it seems that sometimes nothing is seen - i mean on monday i would have been exactly 6 weeks to the day- last period started 2/5 - my OPK was positive on the 17th...
im still spotting though which is making me sooo nervous..... and needless to say it is going to take a long time for wednesday to get here!
