skin breaking out

for the past couple of months the area under my chin has been breaking out like crazy. the rest of my face isn't doing too great either. by 29 I thought I wouldnt have any issues with acne anymoreChat Icon If you have had this problem what works well for you? Obviously just washing my face isn't cuttting it.

yup! i find myself scrubbing my phone and usually my chin clears up. currently i have a pimple on the underside of my chin...i have recently caught myself holding the phone with the underside of my chin to use both hands while on the phone.Chat Icon

you might need to get new makeup brushes, too. sometimes that helps a lot!Chat Icon

I will have to try both these things, I have to admit I am not good with cleaning either the phone or my makeup brushes! Chat Icon

It also might of been something you ate...I know when I eat something like chocolate or spicy foods I tend to break out in certain areas of my face. Drink a lot of water and your face will clear up.

Re: skin breaking out

Some advice that I received and worked for me:

- Use a separate towel for drying your face, don't use the one you use on your body and make sure you change it twice a week

- Change pillow cases at least once a week and wash your pillows too. they hold germs as well

- wash your face twice a day, especially at night or after a workout

- Don't touch your face throughout the day (this is a tough one - you don't realize how often you do it)

- Use disposable makeup sponges when applying makeup (or ones that can be cleaned on a regular basis). Applying makeup with your hands adds extra bacteria to your face

-If you want to clear up your face right away, I use Neutrogena On the Spot Treatment. Works great.

Chin acne is typically hormonal. Did you change your BCP or go off of it? That may trigger the breakouts.

If it is really upsetting you, go see a dermatologist. They can prescribe something to help clear it up.

Also, don't go crazy buying expensive acne products. Sometimes the most simple are the best! HTH
