Anyone own a Futon?
I want to get one for a spare room I have. Can you anyone recommend a store and are they pretty comfortable?

No but looking for one as well and I know Ikea has some and I saw an awesome one at Levitz that I hope I can go back for when i need it.

I forgot to ask how much do they usually run? I know it depends on quality.

We bought a cheapy one at KMart for about $100. The mattress is really thin and not very comfortable. We actually bought an air mattress to put over it when people stay over. My advice, make sure the mattress is thick.

We are "storing" my sister's futon for the last few years, so I don't know where she got it from, but it's got a thick mattress, and it's very comfortable. Sometimes a little too comfortable, since it's our livingroom couch...

Walmart, cheap but not cheap looking. Only about $100 for a metal frame and mattress. We only got it for the spare room in case we have extra guests. Gets the job done.

There's a futon store in port jeff that has a huge selection. I also think there is a smaller version of the main store in huntington village right on NYA. Futons are a great way to save space but you have to make sure you get a thick enough mattress otherwise it doesn't pay to have someone sleep on it.

Surprisingly enough Walmart has a fantastic selection of futons...
We considered this but ended up with a sleeper sofa in our spare bed...

i have a contact via ebay to find a great wood futon..i paid 225...the same futon in a store would go for around 350... i can send you his info if you like... it was a great deal and even has nice fold up tables on each side.

from what i understand, the huntington store is closeing down (same store in port jeff) and the port jeff store had some good deals..i recommend him too but my ebay contact in the above link beat him by 125 bucks...
