any thoughts would be appreciated...

We have been having a tough few weeks. It began when Gillian got sick. She started on this crying non- stop kick. She never cried. Now many times at night she is getting EXTREMELY fussy and screaming crying. I dont know what to do for her and its breaking my heart to hear her like this. Again, last night we went through this and dh took her into the den. The only thing I changed was I started to give her veggies/fruits. Could this be related? I mean shes not sick anymore so I am not sure what is going on. I cant keep her content these last few weeks. Help...

she could be gassy. Emily has started that lately during the day. Just crying, and a piercing cry. It is because she has gas. We tried the gas drops and low and behold she was fine.
What foods are you giving her?

Steven can't have peas, he gets very gassy. Are you giving her green veggies? Also, is it possible she has an ear infection or something like that that may be bothering her?

So far I gave her sweet potatoes and her cereals. I thought of the ear infection idea but she is not pulling at her ears. Should I try buying milicon? If so how long can you use that for?

You can try the Mylicon. You can use it at every feeding. Are you using reg. oatmeal? Or rice cereal? If you are using regular, try using the rice. It is easier for them to digest.

I am using mainly oatmeal but last nite I did rice again. It was constipating her at first. I will also try the milicon tonite. Does gas make them scream for hrs?

They scream until it passes. If you can get them to burp (even though you're doing baby fod) before it reaches their instestines, it would help them.

How old is she? Around 4 months?
When Maddy started fruits, it was a slight shock to her digestive system.
Maddy's reflux resurfaced when we started pears in particular. It took her a few days to get used to it, but she was screaming and just generally uncomfortable for a few days. we stopped pears and waited about a week or so to try again.

I could def be gas. My dd really suffered from this and would cry until she passed it. Also, it could be an ear infection. They don't always have a fever or show signs. If she continues I would bring her to the doctor just to rule out anything else. Chat Icon Chat Icon
