Thank you soooo much everyone!
OMG - What a LLLLLOOOONNNGGG closing!
For a quick recap -  Our lawyer said I've never seen such an easy closing take sooo long.
Our walk-through was scheduled for 1pm, but by the time we made it out there with the snow it was 1:30ish. We did our thing then headed to the closing.
It was scheduled for 2 and was pushed back to 2:30pm. eh...time...time doesn't exist with ice & snow!
I think we made it there by 2:45. Our lawyer called and he was stuck in traffic on the NSP. He said he was averaging about 10mph.
So...we get there and the title closer got there around 3ish. Our lawyer ended up getting there around 3:15-3:30pm. So, we started paperwork, etc. I'm soooo very thankful I have a short name - a whoppin 7 letters first & last - no writers cramp for me! PLUS, thankfully we only had one loan (Another shout out for LIHP & BOA)
Then we waited...laughed...napped...waited...finally the seller's lawyer arrived around 6:15....by this time we're all loopy from sitting in the room for so long. All DH & I kept saying was thank God it wasn't our lawyer that was late or else we'd still be there!
Today is the day we're taking possession of the house. It was so nice to only have to make two VERY small checks out and then get a nice little one back in return for the 1 day interest.
We headed back to the house to drop off a couple of things then stopped to eat at a local restaurant - where we had unbelievable service and dessert on the house - for buying a house.
Then...came the extremely tiring long ride back to our apt.
Unfortunately we can't take advantage of today because we have a party tonight that we need to come back here and get ready for, but first thing tomorrow morning we're starting work!

YEAY!!! I couldn't find your number for the life of me, but I was itching to call!!
I'm sooooooooooooo happy to hear you closed, and although it took long, it sounds like it was smooth. We can't control the weather!! But...but...but eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!
