Spinoff to shaving down there
I have been wondering this for awhile but kept forgetting to post it -
What do you do right before you are going in to have the baby? Do you shave it completely or get it all waxed off? Do you just give it a nice trim so that it's not a forest? Do you not care and leave it as is?
I am thinking once my water breaks - or when I know that I am going in - maintaining down there will be the first thing I do.

Since I shave and will continue to do this As best as I can but I think
that if its not perfect...its not going to matter 
At least for the delivering docs and nurses right?

Smileyd u aren't the only one. I have been thinking about it to. I told my DH i will need to get a wax like a week before my delivery. I cant go up in there with a wild bush.

I am so happy I'm not the only one. The entire thing is just so awkward.
Also - I guess once we start getting internals we'll have to worry about it then also right? Don't we have to get naked down there for those?! 
I am clueless honestly!

OMG - this was actually a discussion I had with a few BTDT friends. The group concensus was that they all trimmed (very short) because when you take it all off you are subject to some minor cuts and irritations that are not a good idea for delivery - the area goes through enough trama already.
It's a personal choice though - I am going to give it a crew cut.

I was also thinking that if you shave it all off that morning it would be quite itcy!! Like we need more to worry about down there that day!

I tried to trim, but in those last days, I thought I might do more harm than good down there and might cut myself!
I had a c-section and the nurse did some trimming I think

Believe it or not, the incision is below your hairline!
I *thought* I'd be all "let me get showered and shaved" when I went into labor before heading to the hospital---yeah, no
I headed to the hospital around 1am and luckily had taken a late shower the evening before--hopping in for a shower was the LAST thing on my mind at that moment!!! Threw on a headband and away I went...

Hmmm...1/2 inch-inch? I can't see it at all now to give you an exact!!
It's great because NO ONE will ever see it--even in the tiniest bikini...not that anyone would ever see me in that anyhow

I am considering starting waxing now so that I can see if:
A- I am too sensitive to it
B - I can put myself on a good schedule where I can keep it well maintained.

nope...I was fine for the 1 night I was in the hospital and after birth, they put an ice pack down there for the swelling ,so if it was itchy, I did not notice.
I'm a bit of a freak and HATE body hair, especially down there, so I felt more at ease being "clean"

See I need to have completely polished floors. I hate that fact that I have not done a total shave in a while but since I am waiting to see how the wax thing goes I am growing it in somewhat

Thats what I told mine already and he's already rolling up his sleeves...Im like slow your roll honey you got time...but seriously this is going to be such a chore. I really commend the girls that do it themselves!
