At What Point did your

belly get unmanageable?

I'm at 24 1/2 weeks & belly is popped & big, starting to get hard to put socks on, but otherwise okay.

At what point does it get to be a major hassle? (putting shoes on, wiping, shaving, etc.)

I am DYING to get out my flip flops. I was so upset I missed out on a day this week b/c I didn't realize it was going to be THAT warm!

Um, honestly, not until about 30-31 weeks, BUT I am measuring small according to my doctor, so I may not be the best judge.

Re: At What Point did your

Mine was starting to get unmanagable around 24 weeks I guess...I feel like it was before that even. By 30 weeks, it was totally impossible to bend over, easily get up and down, etc. At 34 weeks I realized I could no longer drive because I couldn't turn far enough to see behind me or in blind spots in my car...and I couldn't reach down there to shave any more!

Re: At What Point did your

I'm 32 weeks now and I would say I've been struggling with the belly for 2-3 weeks.

All my shoes are now slip-ons!!

Re: At What Point did your

I can't really bend but I can still put my socks on... I found that sitting on the bed and putting my leg on the bed too helps.

I can't bend in half for some time now.

I can still shave my legs and underarms. I raise my foot on the side of the tub so it's easier.... other parts of the "shaving" process have been neglected. I can't see my private parts anymore. It's a hit and miss on that one. Mostly by "feeling" how soft it feels....Chat Icon

Re: At What Point did your

I am 27 weeks - and it is def. hard to put socks and shoes on. Shaving legs is ok - but shaving down there really is very hard.

I can get out of bed fine still - but it's just not very pleasant. I don't know how these next 13 weeks will be! Chat Icon

Re: At What Point did your

By my 27th week I was noticed it was getting difficult to do things. Now at 29 weeks I find that bending and even getting into a sitting position is uncomfortable and I have a hard time putting on my socks and shoes. Actually - nothing easy anymore but it is all still manageable with some patience and a lot of effort.

Re: At What Point did your

Just so you all know - and get a visual of this - I literally have to hide in the bathroom and put my shoes and socks on - because it's a little game that my dog plays with us when we are getting ready to go. She will steal our socks as we are putting them on our feet.

It used to be cute and fun - and I would go after her and get the sock back - but now - it's hard enough to get the sock on - without a 13 pound dog biting your toes!

I now sit on the toilet and hide from her! Chat Icon

Whiners. I am 28 weeks and can totally do all that stuff still....if I want to be in pain!Chat Icon

For some time now I haven't been able to put on my own socks and I've been wearing only slip-on shoes since the BFP anyway.

Shaving is annoying and couple that with my itchy skin, I hold off until I am disgusted by it [poor DH]. Meanwhile, I insist he shave daily...I'm such a meanie.

I'm not even "that big" to most people....but believe me, it's taking a toll. I had to buy a maternity belt for abdominal support today. Dr. told me to. Wow...what a difference. i guess anytime you gain 17 pounds mainly in your belly it's eventually going to cause some sort of discomfort!
