Just need to vent - or sob
There's some family drama that has been going on for a while that really has not and should not include DH and I - but apprently it has. One aunt so far has said no to my shower - which is a huge shock. DH was so upset by it and I finally got it out of him otherwise I would not have realized until the shower. But at least now I have some time to get over the hurt.
I think this pregnancy makes me more emotional - normally I would just brush it off. 
Just needed to get that out cause I'm kinda sad today.

we are in the same boat, my own godmother said she was not coming to my shower bc she never received an invite,,,,, ummmmmmmmmmm you moved and never game anyone ur new address or phone number so where are we suppose to send it?????
i promise things will get better

Thanks everyone. I think what hurts me most is that I have always made an effort to attend every family event - even drove from Farmingdale to Howard Beach to get to this aunt's granddaughter's first birthday (had a bridal shower that day too). I was kinda hoping that at least they would do it for my daughter - just come together and wish her well.

Unfortunately, I, too, have seen some family member's "true colors" ever since my wedding.
Try not to focus on who will NOT be there but those who will, who truly love you.

I'm so sorry Ang! I know how this must really hurt especially with how you ALWAYS make the effort. Sometimes family just stinks! You have no control over what other people do, so please try not to stress. We'll have so much fun at your shower you'll forget all about the drama!!

I'm sorry. Family - can't live with them and can't live without them!! Don't be sad - its your BABY SHOWER!! and if she's not coming its her loss to not be able to share a happy event with you. Tell DH to cheer up too, once your little gem is here neither one of you will care less about petty family drama. What's important is the family you're creating. I know its easier said than done - i've seen my share of family drama too. Hope this helps

Oh Ang- I'm so sorry you have to deal with this! Sometimes you just learn so much about people- and it really stinks that not everyone acts the way that you act- and dont treat you like you treat them. Its just not fair.

Thanks everyone
You're all right - I am going to try to put this behind me and just move on. There are some people that are making a huge effort to be there and I feel very lucky to have those people in my life and my daughter's life.
