Was anyone else at 24 weeks...

Completely uncomfortable?

I have a lot of pressure in my lower stomach and I feel most days like I have been riding a horse for hours (they checked my cervix and it looks fine). I am just so miserable and I have a long commute to work - I don't work far from Penn but it is about a mile walk to and from and not too many choices to get me back to Penn easily - so I usually have to do the walk.

This is getting uncomfortable now. I have those aches and pains. Hard to put socks on.

Can't wait for slip on open toe shoes.

LOL Flip flops sound great - luckily my feet aren't swelling or anything like that - but I can't do the 2 mile walk everyday for much longer - I am so uncomfortable by the time I hit Penn I just want to crawl in bed for the night - then I hurt the next day - the beginning of the week is okay but I run around a lot at my job and carry files around so by Wednesday I am miserable

I am concerned that physically I can't do this commute much longer and I didn't plan to stop working until Mid may - but I was sick this morning on the train and I feel worse every week

I actually may go in STD shortly.

I have to see the surgeon AGAIN tomorow. Same problem than last time.

Sitting is a killer for me. Of course, I can't stand either.

26 weeks- DH has to help me put on my socks. I have a hard time shaving now too...... I'm afraid to THINK of what my "situation" looks like down there......

When I am up and walking around for a long time I feel like the baby is very low - so then I just lay down for a little while. Could you cab it to work for the next couple of weeks?

same here.....and this is baby #2 so I think I'm bigger physically and definitely tire more easily. Being uncomfortable is an understatement....

wake up, drink water, go pee, get back in bed, thrash for goodness only knows how long, fall asleep (I think) to do it all over again.

PLUS, picking up a 20 lb 14 month old OVER AND OVER all day long. Walking around outside with her, going up and down stairs....

I definitely had the week-long-horseback-riding feeling.

It is better now...so there is light at the end of the tunnel. And I don't think I could deal with that walk at 24 weeks, nope, not every day.

I feel the same way. Generally i have a lot of energy but there are days when I just want to sit on the couch all day. I understand the feeling of the pressure in yoru lower abdomen I was having that a lot like 2 weeks ago. Hang in there we have just a little while longer until we see our little ones.

I'M 24 weeks today too & the last few days I' ve had a lot of pressure low down, almost like a foot or something is there. Putting socks on is tough, I can still cross my legs over my lap (while sitting down) to get socks on but starting to feel achy alot, esp. on my hour drive.

See getting to work is easy I can cab it at Penn or hop the M4 or Q32 - right to 33rd and Madison and just walk on Avenue rather than 6 to park.

But getting to Penn is the tough part. I have tried to cab it but it takes like 20-30 mins to get a cab around me at 445-5pm. I can walk to 34th for the crosstown bus but it takes forever to come and it is always packed like standing room and it takes forever to get to Penn. I take the 523 now - but I understand the later trains are so crowded it is hard to get a seat - so I need to make my usual train (when that is short it is standing room only but I am lucky to get a seat).

I said this exact thing to my DH yesterday about shoes!

I feel like I'm getting bigger by the day and haven't seen my feet in a couple of weeks. I have some other aches and pains, too.

Re: Was anyone else at 24 weeks...

I've been kind of sore for a few weeks now largely due to the insane amount of sitting I do at work and then any walking I try to do outside of work [ie-walk around Roosevelt Field]. I didn't have this with my first...but I didn't sit nearly as much during a normal day either. I tell DH my "stuff" is sore. Chat Icon I also find that the area under the bump gets sore from over-exertion/walking sometimes. I usually end up lying down to relieve the pain/pressure.
