When to Register??
I am 19 weeks now. I am due August 9th.
My mom is away in Florida for the entire month of March--is it too late to wait until the first weekend of April to register?? What about furniture? I really want her input, but do you think it will take too long to order it if I wait till then?

I would start doing research and add things to your registry online. You can always go back and change it later. I've changed/updated mine so many times already, but I'm glad that I kept adding to it b/c it doesn't seem so overwhelming now.

I do some now, and some later. Maybe register for stuff like the car seat, or little things, and wait for the furniture and bedding, things you want to share with her. You can always get started though.

I did mine in stages. I started researching the bigger items and added them first. When we found out the genders we then added gender appropriate items, again in stages.
I would advise, like above, to not try to do it all in one trip. It's a bit much.

I didn't register til 28wks for a few reasons #1 I'm a huge procrastinator, #2 I had started contracting @ 24wks and was on modified bedrest plus I felt kind of superstitious to register too early but that's just me.

Couldn't agree more!! As I researched car seats, strollers, high chairs, etc., I just added them onto my registry, so I didn't have to write them down somewhere, then add them later. And then we went to the store and did a lot of the smaller stuff the last week or so.

I plan on registering after my 20wk sono. We arent finding out the sex, but i feel like thats a good time to start. Im planning on checking out more than one store, so it will probably take more than one trip. If you want to wait for your mom that would probably be ok, but i would definitly get out there and atleast look at stuff so you can rule out what you dont like, and start keeping track of what you do like.
