insulin shots....

so ya i am not going to take them anymore, (My choice) I started them on Tuesday night and Wed. I was feeling somewhat not myself all day, even teachers were noticing I was not the happy energetic person I am... Then I did another shot that night, woke up yesterday feeling like total Sh** but came to work bc i don't teach until the 1:15 and I thought it would go away, at like 10ish i started to shake really bad, so i ate a blueberry muffin one my my neighbor teachers had, and felt a little better, but I was sweating like crazy like dripping wet, when I ate lunch my sugar a half hour after was 105 which means it was way to low before I ate.... When I called the nurse she said i was prob getting sick and insulin would not do this to me.... ummmm no i am not sick bc i did not do it last night and i feel back to normal today so I am not doing the shot and just going to stick to what I have been doing...........

Just very upset, bc she blew it off like i was sick when I KNOW that the insulin is to much for me and not working when it should and working 15 hours later instead of 8-12......

You know what, doctors are not God and they don't always know everything. You do what you feel is best for you. I know this is a hard time, I have GD too. I take everything the dr. says with a grain of salt. Hope you feel better.
