This does not go together right??

My husband and I really like this couch, and we love that it swivels VEERRYYY comfy. But online it only comes in the celedon color.
It is for this room ( we dont move in until April to compare swatches, couch is 1000 off NOW), UGH! We plan on leaving the room this color for a while because it's wallpaper, and a project we do not want to take on just yet. What do you all think? I am fairly certain the store had this couch in a tan color, which I think would go better, I guess Ill have to go look.

i dont think the green would go very nicely with that room color. if you can get it in the tan that would look great!

I agree- the green is a cool color, and the walls are too warm- tan would look great though!
Cool couch.

Re: This does not go together right??

red and green CAN go
they are on oposite sides of the spectrum so they can go well together

i think you need some red throw pillows
and a rug that incorporates all the colors

would it be an ideal match? no.

would it look bad? no.

Re: This does not go together right??

the red on the walls is too plummy...needs to be warmer to go. Or the couch needs to be darker.

I would go with tan but did you measure to see if it would fit? It looks like it might be a little tight

I agree. It would work with the right accessories/decorations/rugs, etc

I would prefer tan myself though.

I agree. It can go if you work the colors in together with the right accessories.

I agree that they can work well together. Red and green are compliments of each other. I can't tell from the picture what red your walls are. Tan is a little booring.

Ask if it comes in other materials/colors. Maybe a slight darker green would be perfect.

I dont think it comes in anything else Chat Icon

However, I did see a darker green couch that I likes also, but nothing felt as comfy as this one. I htink we need ot make another trip to the store this weekend.

I agree as well.

If you love the green color and plan on changing the red eventually, then I would purchase the color that you love and not settle for something that goes with what you have now.

I totally agree. If you love it and it does not match perfectly, I don't think that it will be so terrible that you can't live with it until you are able to paint the room. Plus, you are looking at both colors on a computer screen. It is very hard to tell the true colors this way. They may very well work together in person. If you love the couch then get it (if it fits)!!

This room is the opposite but it has the tow colors together and it works.

P.S. I love the ceiling in that room...so cool!!

IMO the colors do not go. i think a dark brown distressed leather couch and loveseat would look GREAT in that room. or a leather coach and 2 fabric club charis i would also change the arrangement of furniture so that the peices surround the fireplace (perhaps a flat screen tv above the fireplace as well). not really understanding why the sectional is placed in the corner. arrangement is off-centered and there is no definitive focal point.

eta: is this a LR or den?

I would get the couch in whatever color you really like. If you are going to eventually paint the room who cares! As long as the end result is something you love!

I have to agree. That wall color is only temporary! Go for it, that's a big savings.

Re: This does not go together right??

I actually don't like the sage that much, HAHA, we just like d the comfort of the couch. I wanted the distressed leather like someone had mentioned for several reasons. One being I have a dog that likes to be on the couch all the time, and i figure the leather would clean really easy.

As far as the layout of the room, it was an addition made to the house, it is the den. The reason it is situated where it is, is because of the sliding glass door that leads to the deck outside, and then the fireplace is on the other side. I may actually put the couch on the opposite wall, as I have a really nice entertainment unit, either wall though, it will prob. look the same.It may look akward in the pic, but in person, its really cozy, although I agree, id rather have couches surrounding fireplace, but I don't think it will work out. Anyway, thanks all for the help, may-be I will just buy something when we move in, it's just a savings of $1100. was VERY tempting, especially since it was a couch we both loved.

do you have any more pics of the layout of the room? where exactly are the doors? you could always angle the furniture around the fireplace.
