sort of spinoff to nasty looks?
how do you handle the "catty" types who always check you out non-pg, when you become pg? DH has a group of friends we see during summer that do this. competitive, drama, me-me-me types. 1 specifically who is always vying for DH attention etc. The kind who goes overboard trying to "be everyone's fav person etc by buying little presents etc...". I KNOW they will be "assessing my figure" etc and it already makes me anxious/annoyed.
know it shouldnt bother me but i can't help it. doesn't help that men are clueless and don't see past the manipulative bs. what are your thoughts on this?

I don't really associate with anyone like this but I would say to just put a positive spin on anything negative that they do or say. If they say something or give you looks like you're fat or something, just smile & talk about how happy you are to be pg.
They're probably jealous anyway

Hmmm - sounds to me that the motive behind their behavior is ultimately to get to you. I wouldn't feed into it. Especially the girl that seems to seek attention from your DH - keep in mind that it must kill her that you are not only on the super high level of being his wife but now you are carrying his child. So you are on this unreachable pedastal.
For me - if I found myself in a situation where one was to make a rude comment in regard to my figure I would smile and say hopefully you can handle this as well as me when it's your turn. Everyone says how pregnancy suites me including my husband...if he's around give him a kiss to twist the knife a little further.
