For those that are in school & pg

Do you ever feel like you cant do it right now? I am only taking one class, but i work F/T, have a 6 yr old, still working a P/T job, and my mind is just not in it this semester. I love the class, but its time to take a test, and i can NOT concentrate on studing. My mind is everywhere else but in the book. I feel like i am waisting my time sitting in the class for 3 hours every week.
Should i just drop the course and start agian in the fall? I am so dissapointed in myself, but my gut is telling me its jus tnot the time.

No, don't drop the class. Hang in there.

I got PG in my last semester of school. I was doing a 2 hour class on Thursday night and 5 hour massages on Saturday (with m/s, exhaustion). In addition to studying for the NY State board. And I work a full time job. I don't know how I did it but I managed. I knew I did not want to postponne. The NY State exam is only 2 times a year for me and that would have postponned everything to another 7 months. Then a friend told me... be realistic. The baby will be 2 months by the time of the next board exam and who knows how exhausted you will be with a newborn.

I hanged in there. DH was great and very supportive.

Now that I am done, I am so glad I did not give up.

I worked three part time jobs and took two grad classes this past fall while pg. It was tough but I did it and now I am relaxing because I will be starting up again in the summer.

Just make sure you rest and do your assignments on time so you don't fall behind and have to scramble to do stuff.

Im in your boat. I work full time, and i am taking 2 classes this semester. It's very hard to concentrate, but i am just trying to stay on track, What I am afraid of most is I HAVE to take a class this fall, and the baby is due in OCTOBER...then I'll panic, but I will try.

I really feel your pain because I was debating the same thing. But think about it this way your halfway through the semester so don't quit now.

Well this happened to me this semester. I was taking a grad class online & after having sign in problems for a week & then having my text book arrive a week after that, I felt there was no way I could catch up on the 3 missed assignments & the 4 chapters of reading. It was the only time in my school career I dropped a class, I also tend to be a perfectionist & knew I wouldn't get the A I expect.

My head is just not in it.

You can do it. I am kinda int he same boat, taking two classes, working F/T, in the Navy reserves. There are days that I don't want to do this...but I have to. I would HATE to waste the money and drop. I'm not doing as well in class as I normally would be, but I'll take a B and run with it...
