We did, because I'm a planner, and I like to bargain shop when possible. I've gotten (and our mothers have too) such amazing deals on clothes at the end of the season, etc. that's really gender specific, for next year. And, I wanted to decorate the nursery, etc. I definitely give props to those who have the restraint to wait, it is the ultimate surprise, but we'll still be surprised about what day she comes, what she'll look like, etc.
To each their own! 
ETA: Now that she's moving around a lot, I like to talk to her a little, so I call her by her name. I know people who haven't found out the sex, have a nickname for the baby to do the same thing, and that works for them too!

Yes. It was just easier with twins to know what they are for various reasons.

YES! I am a huge planner - and I can't wait around for surprises - so those two things put together and I had no choice.
Of course I am hoping to confirm for the third time today that it really is a boy!!

We did, we wanted to be able to have everything ready, and not have a bunch of gender neutral stuff, because there is only so much cute stuff in yellows and greens.

No - not a fan of the whole "pink for girls, blue for boys" mentality -- and if I knew what I was having I would tell everyone, and then they would shop for those colors.
My child will have plenty of time to decide his/her likes and dislikes and preferences.

Yes, but it wasn't for planning or shopping purposes. I haven't bought or registered for anything PINK.
I have always felt that this is a little person and I wanted to have an idenity for that purpose. We call her by her name and refer to her room and things we need to do by her name... We also talk to her and speak to her by saying her name. I love that.
I've picked out very neutral things and am not a fan of the pink/blue things, although some things are eaiser, but they could wait as well.

Oh no, really? That's awful. This happened about a month ago to friends. They didn't want to find out, and went for a sono, the tech knew they didn't want to know and didn't tell them, but they overheard the tech talking to someone else when she left the room, and she mentioned "she" when referring to the baby! They then confirmed since they'd already heard.

Yes. We just think it's easier. I don't know how I would do with the stuff I had bought if I had not known.
I think seeing the baby for the first time will still be a surprise.
Actually baby could be either blond or light brown. That's what we don't know and it will be our surprise.
I feel more connected with the baby. We already have picked a name and we talk to him referencing his name.

yes, when IT's born.
for me, it's fun to not know AND it's one of the few surprises you get in life. the moment you find out for sure when the baby is born is simply magical. i didn't find out with my first and that moment when they tell you.....your heart melts. it melts all over again when you see him/her of course, but it's just so moving to find out at the birth.

We are not finding out. We had agreed on this a long time ago...we really want to be surprised....and I still need time to pick which names I like...that buys me some extra time!! My DH is so adament about it, each time we go to the Dr, he always says We dont want to find out, before they even turn on the sonogram machine! LOL!!! He is hoping for a girl though....
