you raise very good points, and i definatly plan on waiting for a few more years.... but i still get that itch!!
dh was like "ok, if you REALLY want one now we can , but you realize no more going out, no more dinners, etc"
i was like "umm.... yes, lets wait"
theyre just too cute!!!

LOL...martinis. My best friend is preg and not planning on breast feeding right now. She's like, "When you come see me in the hospital, can you bring me a bottle of wine? I'll freaking drink it with a straw if I have to!" ha ha!

wait im having a dumb moment here. So if you breastfeed you cant drink till there about a year old and you stop

My friend and her husband will see a little baby or baby clothes and say, "oh my G@d, he/she is cute.I want a baby. I tell them to spend the day with my sister who has three boys, a five year old and twin three and a half years old. I love them to death and have a great time, but I don't know how my sister does it. I'll go with her to Target and by the time we leave, I have no idea what I bought.
When the three of them slept over one night, I needed a day to recop.
But I love them!

i get the same way!!!
i love babies... but i also love bud light and dancing in bars... and, we all know how well that "PG women in a bar" thing goes over
I'm doing rotations in maternity and the newborn nursery this semester though, and instead of making me want to wait, it actually makes me want one even more... even after hearing a ton of babies screaming all night!

You can buy mine cheaply. He is very cute, very loud, doesn't sleep much, has more energy than the energizer bunny, he doesn't eat much, but poops a LOT. He cries if you leave the room, and wants to be held non-stop. He costs me an arm and a leg in childcare costs, He poos his pants and if you leave him naked for a few minutes, he does a wee on the floor. He is often awake and ready to start his day LOUDLY at 5.56 am, he spills milk all over the floor, throws food, chases the cats, cries when he sees balloons....
On the upside, he is very funny, he is very cute, he changes every single day. He kind of looks like me and kind of looks like my beloved lovely gorgeous husband. When he smiles its better than having a million dollars in the bank, when he laughs its like all the joy in the world compacted into a few seconds. Seeing him in the morning makes getting up at 5.56 am worthwhile, seeing him in the evening after work puts a true spring in my step. I adore him, he adores me.
Oh, and the little clothes are cute too.
eta...I think he is a keeper. Sorry, I take back my sales offer.

And by the by, I drank wine while breastfeeding. Alcohol leaves your milk supply the same way it leaves your bloodstream. Some moms just choose not to drink.

Jes, i'm the same way. I LOVE children, and I am constantly saying "I want one" to DH. However, we also enjoy our lifestyle right now, and know that we are not quite ready to alter it for a child. In a couple of years, probably, but not right now. The urges are totally natural though - you're not crazy!

DH and i arent ready, but i have been doing baby namings almost every weekend and .........
OMG me too! we both REALLY want to have a baby now but i just started a new company and i want to make sure its running perfectly before i can devote my life to a child. everytime we watch tv and see a cute baby, a little part of me wants to cry
