Bundle Me

Do I need a Bundle Me if my baby is going to be born in the summer? Or is it only for newborns?

Good question- I'd think that the baby would be in a snowsuit in the winter, and the two things together might be too much. I don't know if there's such a thing as a newborn snow suit, hence the Bundle Me. But I could be wrong.

ETA: Just looked on the BRU site, and the Bundle Me can be used up till 12 months, so your baby will definitely fit into it if you still wanted to get it. Might be easier than a one piece suit!

Re: Bundle Me

I also registered for the bundle me lite. Which will be used in the fall months, and possibly even on cool summer evenings.

The Bundle Me's are only beneficial when the baby is in the infant carrier because you can put the baby in and just carry around the infant carrier. Once they are getting in and out of a carseat, they need a jacket/coat and you won't be using the Bundle Me. Molly was born in August and I have used it through the winter. If I had a baby in April or May, I wouldn't have had any use for one.

Ditto I did the same. We had a few cool night this past summer so I figured better to be prepared. And if I don't use it it will end up on eBayChat Icon

Re: Bundle Me

I was thinking of picking up the bundle me lite (I am due in August). I figure it would be great for the fall. If the baby is still in it in the winter - than I already have the regular bundle me. I loved having the bundle me for my son - he was a winter baby though - I used it thru April/May.

I had one and even in the winter my hot baby wound up all sweaty and miserable. But lots of people swear by them

Re: Bundle Me

My DD was born in August and I am still using the bundle me. It is great. It is hard to get a snowsuit on.

I agree. I had a March baby and returned mine. By the time it got cold again she was out of the infant carrier and into the convertible carseat.

Re: Bundle Me

my DD was born in October and she HATES it.... makes her sweat and she cries like bloody murder- i'm actually better off just dressing her in layers and piling her with blankets that I can take off....

Exactly! DD was born in May, I got zero use out of mine. DD HATED it!! By the time it was cold enough to use it, she hated being in her seat and would rather be in a jacket and get taken out of the seat for errands.

HOpefully #2 being born in July, I will get more use out of it.

Thanks for your replies!

My baby is due at the end of June ... from your responses, I'm not sure if I'll need it! The "lite" one sounds great but the one I see at BBB (where I'm registered) is for toddlers (1-3 yrs). Ugg ... why do I stress so much over these things? Chat Icon

Just a thought about using bundle me's for older kids.

They will be in a regular carseat in the car, they will still need a jacket to go from the car or house or to do errands, playdates..etc. Typically with a bundle me, the purpose is too not have the kid in a bulkie jacket. Otherwise, for doing errands you would need to take a jacket with you so they aren't cold.

Personally, i wouldn't use one for a kid after he/she outgrows the infant seat.
They will be warm in the car, why smother them with a blanket...

just something else to think about...
