Did any of you use clomid to help you along???
How fast did it work for you??
What were the side effects??
My doctor is putting me on it for my next cycle because my cycle is all messed up and I may not be Oing.
I'm hoping for a few success stories on here.
Thanks.

I got PG my 2nd round of clomid and it had me ovulating the 1st round...
I didn't really have any side effects from it- I was on 50mg.

Re: Did any of you use clomid to help you along???
I was on metformin which helped with my cycles, but they were still pretty long so my first doc put me on 50mg for 5 days and it wound up overstimulating my ovaries and I got a lot of cysts and had to wait for them to go down. When they finally went down, my new doc put my on 25mg for only 4 days, but I wound up getting pg on my own right before I started taking them. Not necessarily a clomid success story, but some insight. PS the only side effect I had was the hot flashes...I took it right before I went to bed and woke up a few times throwing the covers off and sweating like a pig.

Re: Did any of you use clomid to help you along???
I got preggo on my first cycle with clomid. I was having very long irregular cycles (and it wasn't clear if I was O'ing or not). I'm not sure if the comid did anything, since I got pregnant on CD62 (!), so it didn't exactly regulate me.
No major side effects, though I did have some hot flashes, and got out of breath more quickly.

Re: Did any of you use clomid to help you along???
Clomid never worked for me. When I did finally ovulate on it (triple dosage than most for nine days each round), Day 24 it's believed that the egg is "too old" by that point and either won't fertalize or won't implant.
After that we tried Metformin and an IUI. I ovulated earlier but still no luck.
First round of IVF was successful.
Clomid can work for a lot of women but it honestly depends upon your individual fertility issue.

Re: Did any of you use clomid to help you along???
First round of Clomid wasn't enough. On the second round (100mg) it worked. I found that my side effects were hot flashes and weight gain, BUT it is all worth it. I have a thyroid issue too so the doctor said that was out of wack and also could have attributed to the weight gain and not the Clomid.

Third round of clomid and 5 IUI's in one month brought us our BFP. Injectibles gave me cysts so I opted to go back to clomid

I used it, but it didnt work for us unfortunatly. We did 4 cycles of Clomid.
I did get cysts on Clomid though on 3 cycles, so had to take the next month off meds each time.
