Need help regarding Ob/Gyn PLEASE!
I just found out my Ob/GYN is relocating to Georgia. I've been going to her for 10 years. She is part of a group practice based in Smithtown & Stonybrook and associated with St. Catherine's.
DH & I are going to start TTC at the start of 2008.
I live in the babylon area since I got married & I chose to drive to the north shore since my Ob/Gyn was located there. Do I stay with the practice since they have my records and go with another female doctor? It is about a 20-25 minute drive.
Or can you recommend a personable & excellent female doctor on the south shore that is associated with Good Sam Hospital?

I know you want to go to Good Sam, but my Doctors are located in Oakdale and are affliated with Southside. I LOVE my group (Oakdale OBGYN on Montauk Highway), has 2 men and 2 women, and they are very accomodating with scheduling. Also, I had the BEST experience with Southside. I wish I knew another group, but just had recommend my Drs.

I go to Polidoro and Egner in East Islip. They are both women and associated with Good Sam and Southside. I started with them when I found out I was pregnant and I had some insurance issues in the begining. They have been GREAT to work with, the wait times are not terrible at all and everyone in the office is very nice.
I left a large, very impersonal group to go to them. I like that they are a smaller office.

I LOVE my doctor. Dr. Helena Squicciarini at Comprehensive OBGYN in West Islip just 2 blocks from Good Sam on Montauk Hwy. Their phone number is 631-321-4811. There are 4 doctors there, 3 are men and she is the only woman...but they have great hours and you rarely have to wait in the waiting room. Each doctor is better than the next and Dr. Squicciarini is great...I feel like we are friends more than doctor/patient.

I'm just lurking, but I'm in W.Babylon and have been going to this Oakdale office for years! They're soooo great! But FYI, I don't know who you ladies see over there, but rumor has it that Dr. Z is moving to Georgia (my sister works there, so that's where my info in coming from). But Dr. Sullivan is AMAZING! Book in advance!.... she books very quickly.

My favorite is Dr. Bakshi, who is married to Dr. O'Sullivan. He is the SWEETEST man and so caring and understanding. I totally love this practice. Dr. Steven Goldman just moved to North Carolina (which I am happy about since I am not a fan of him AT ALL), so that is weird about Dr. Z... she is fantastic too, I hope she stays.
