april mommies

I am only 30 weeks so I am not quite there yet, but when is everyone planning on getting their hospital bag ready? What are you using?Also, do you just bring the take home outfit for the baby or do you bring a few others?

I was thinking I'd put it together in another 2 weeks or so when I'll be 35 weeks. I was only planning on bringing a take home outfit and an extra blanket to get his scent on for my DH to bring home before me for the dog and cat to smell. Other than that, everything is for me and DH--toiletries, pjs, slippers, comfy going home outfit for me, maybe some snacks for DH, magazine/cards (for during delivery, depending on how everything goes), the granny/crappy underwear, sports bra....I tend to overpack for lots of just-in-case situations so I have a list somewhere.

PS don't forget your camera!

my date's late march but we all know very few are actually born on their due date. i may be early or late. that being said, as advised by my breastfeeding instructor / nurse, it's better that i prepare a lil earier than the book recommends which is around 36wks. i started my hospital bag around my 32nd week or so.. not sure if it's actually complete. i always go back and forth. plus i'm trying not to bring a whole lot.

for the baby? i'm bringing a take-home outfit, newborn cap, blankie and one of those fleece bunting things. just in case the weather's being stubborn.

My 40 week due date is 4/18 but the docs wil take them no later than 4/4 and in all actuality they will probably come earlier than that so mine has benn ready for a few weeks.

If you are 30 weeks you can get the bag and throw in the things you plan on bringing that you will not use now... going home outfit for you, baby, extra bottle of shampoo/conditioner, etc.

When it starts to get full move it near the front door or tha car you plan on taking to the hospital Just leave a list of last minute items on top of the bag.

ETA: I have a separate bag for DH to bring to the hospital the day we are going home with the going home outfits, blankets, fleece cover ups, pacifiers and things I won't need until we leave. Makes the first bag a lot lighter.

Just need to buy nursing pj's and I am packing mine today!! I am 33 weeks and my belly is dropping quickly...they think I am going to go in another 4-5 weeks! I can't wait!!!!!!

im 30 weeks and have not even thought of this yet. i told dh we have to go and buy icky undies so mine don't get ruined, and pj's so mine don't get ruined either... i am late april but think iam going in may so we will see....

How is everyone feeling?!?!?

I'm 32 weeks, and I haven't started packing yet, probably in another two weeks or so... mentally I'm making my lists!!!

I am 35 weeks and my bag is partially packed....I have all my toiletries in there and the stuff for the baby. I plan to be done by this weekend...just in case
