I am so angry right now, words can't even explain!!!!!

I did the 1 HR glucose test a little over 1 week ago, rec'd a call this past Tues that I had failed and needed to do the 3 HR test. Fine. I was out of town at the time and was due to return that night, but due to the weather, didn't get home til Wed morning. When we returned home, the weather didn't permit me to go to my Dr's office to p/u requesition form. I was sick Thurs and forgot to go on Friday. I called the office on Saturday to have them fax the form the lab, as I was going to do the 3 HR test this morning at 7am.

I get to the lab, sign in and wait for the lady to call me. When I go p to the counter I explain that the office faxed the form. She pulls out the folder, confirms my name then says the form is for the 1 HOUR TEST!!!!!

I wanted to scream! Thank goodness I was off today and didnt waste a day! Butit is a waste for me. I fasted as I was told to, not having eaten afteer 8pm. I can't go back this Saturday b/c I have to work (and my coworker is off, so no calling out) and I work M-F 8-4:30, I already took extra days off last week b/c of delayed return home from being out of town.

My Dr's office doesn't open til 10 and I have an appt anyhow at 11:30. I am SO freaking mad! And was maked me more mad is I was very clear with the lady who took my call on Saturday, that I needed the 3 Hr test. She even said "You need to make an appt with the lab" She even confirmed w/ me which location I was going to!!!!!! UGH! Just wait til I can speak with someone!!!!

That stinks! I hate when doctors office's make mistakes like that

Maybe the doctor's office can work with you in some way.

Was it Quest that you wen tto? Because you can't do the glucose tests on the weekend there. Stinky. I have to do the 3 hour test tomorrow on a day that I had off from work too...
