Can you have honey while pregnant? Like honey in tea?

I don't eat honey, but I do remember hearing that you should not have honey while you are pregnant. I'd ask your doctor. I could be wrong.

I was worried about the botulsim spores.
Children under 1 cannot have honey. I wasn't sure if it affected pregnant women also.

I just found this on a pregnancy website.
"A pregnant mom can safely eat honey. Her digestive tract is acidic, and will prevent a botulinum spore from growing -- no toxin will be produced. There is no danger to the fetus from the mom-to-be eating honey or honey-containing foods"
honey is fine to eat. infact i lived on decaf tea with honey and lemon my first trimester. it was the only thing i could keep down.

Honey is fine. I drank a lot of honey and lemon tea when I had a cold. It helped a lot.
