Pregnant and in a bikini

I need to buy some maternity bathing suits for my upcoming vacation. I saw a really cute maternity bikini online but I'm not sure if I would feel comfortable sporting a bikini on the beach when I'm 24 weeks. I think I'll be ok wearing it since I'm pretty much all belly and I don't have stretch marks. I just don't want people to be like there's a beached whale over there! What would you think if you saw a 6 month pregnant gal wearing a bikini? Be honest.

I actually saw one once. She was more like 7-8 months pregnant and sore a one piece, I think it was black. It was in one of those family resort type motels in Jersey Shore.

She looked very pregnant but my only though was "How Cute". It will be obvious that you are, as you said a "beached whale" , because you are carrying a child, not because your are simply over weight and don't take care of yourself.

I don't think you should worry. I bet people will think you look adorable!

I say go for it!! If you can still wear a bikini at this stage of the game then all the power to you!! I would in a minute.. But i didn't wear one before i got preggo!!!

If i saw you 24 weeks in a bikini, i would think OMG i WISH i could pull that off!!

I miss my bikini's! I have a date with them next summer!

I think it's cute. When we went on our cruise last year, there were lots of preggos in bikinis.

Go for it! I see them every summer in bikinis---I think if you can do it, go for it!!! I just bought a tankini from Old Navy--they are having a huge sale!!

I went bathing suit shopping everywhere for the past few weeks and finally bought 2 suits that I like. I am 21 weeks and also all belly.

I tried on maternity suits and found them to be SO unflattering. I also tried on bikinis but unfortunatey my boobs don't even come close to fitting in the L/XL tops, so I resorted to trying on a few normal tankinis and that is what I ended up buying. I totally would be wearing a bikini had it not been for the boob issue....if you feel comfortable then that is all that matters!

If you feel comfortable, you should absolutely GO FOR IT!!. I actually was wondering the same question myself when I was planning our recent trip to Las Vegas. Whether people would look at me weird being six months pregnant in a bikini. Luckily, I didn' t have to worry about it too much, because the weather was not pool weather. But for you, I think that gone are the days when pregnant women were urged to hide their swelling bellies. Hence all the new maternity styles and shirts. Have fun!

This summer I plan on wearing one and I will be about 8 months. I think it is cute

i think if you feel confident wearing one, then go for it!!! I usually spend every weekend i can at the beach during the summer but I'm dreading it this summer - i'll be FAT

I went on a cruise when I was 24 weeks and I wore bathing suits that were bikin top and skirt bottoms...

I think thats awesome! I actually wish I was pregnant during the summer so I could show off my belly more - go for it!!!!

I had a two peice when we went to Jamaica last year and people would look at me and smile. I think that people think it's cute to see a pregnant belly. But, there will always be a bitter Bessy. Go for it. Buy a one peice just in case it's too much to deal with at the time, you know the mood swings.

I wore a tankini all summer (I gave birth in September). When I was laying out or in the pool, I would lift up the material covering my belly to get some sun. In fact, by the end of the summer, my belly was one of the darkest parts of my body. DH used to joke that the baby would come out tan! We have a pool so I would spend every weekend out there.
