NYC tries to always be so Tough

The weather is bad, we don't even drive WE WALK. Why am I here?


Why do we have to be so tough and act like we are "so over the weather"

Even my husband does this. "It's a little snow, Nancy"

You know - normally, snow doesn't bother me too much - but today I was so nervous driving because we haven't had any bad weather yet this year and I am out of practice!

that's funny - my DH is from the midwest and says we are all wimps in NY he says everyone here freaks out at the mere mention of the word snow.

I'm from upstate...I know snow....love it, but this is ICE....There's a BIG difference!!!

My dad works for the DOT. They had a special commission from upstate NY come down to discuss how things should be done more efficiently during snowstorms.

Right before the first big snowstorm they had the commission come back to see how their suggestions worked.

My dad couldn't stop laughing. The upstate guys came back and said "How in God's name do you plow your roads? People are still out there DRIVING in the middle of a snowstorm? Don't they know they should stay home in this?!"


We're definitely tougher!
