What would you do?

I have a friend getting married in upstate NY on July 14th. We used to be really close friends...but she did some things at my wedding that really annoyed me....causing me to actually break down in tears on my wedding night. I dont' know if I've fully forgiven her yet....
I'm due June 4th. Going to her wedding would mean going away for a weekend and leaving a 1 month old baby at home.

Would you go to her wedding?

Re: What would you do?

Honestly, I probably wouldn't. Plus who knows if you will be physically ready to make that kind of a trip.Chat Icon

Re: What would you do?

Nope!

Unless you've mended fences since your wedding, I wouldn't go. You could be home with your baby.

But I tend to hold grudges!

Re: What would you do?

No! Why take time away from your new baby to go to someone's weding who would upset you so much on your wedding night?

Re: What would you do?

There is NO WAY you will want to leave that baby. Mine is 6 wks old and two hours is my max and she is with her daddy when I go.

Re: What would you do?

Thanks!
I pretty much made up my mind about the wedding a while ago, but sometimes, it helps to get another perspective on it. Chat Icon

Re: What would you do?

Definitely not. My main reason is that at 1 month I was in no way ready to leave my baby, at 16 months I'm still not so maybe I'm not the best one to ask. Chat Icon
Second you might still be exhausted or if you ended up with a c section you may still be sore.
Third why make the effort for someone who made you cry on your wedding day. Not worth it IMO.
