Light Exercise?
I believe I know the answer to this already but, just want to make sure...It's ok for me to do some light exercises early in my pregnancy, right? I like to go walking in particular. TIA

Re: Light Exercise?
Absolutely! It is actually recommended that you excercise during pregnancy (provided that everything is going normally).

Re: Light Exercise?
My doctor said that anything you did before you were pregnant you can do while you are pregnant.
I would check with your DR but if you always exercised, it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Light Exercise?
Walking is def. fine. My dr. said exercise is ok except no abs of any kind or pilates. Also, he said you shouldn't get your heart rate or body temperature to0 high. Light exercise is good!

Yes, my dr. said any type of exercise you were doing for at least 3 mo b/f preg is ok EXCEPT it is NOT ok to do sit-ups, crunches or abs of any kind or pilates or anything that affects your ab area even if you were doing before.

Re: Light Exercise?
My Dr said that walking is recommended, but not running or anything that is too jarring on your body. He said not to get your heartrate over 140 and light weights for upper body are fine.
I'm 9w4d and have been walking 2 miles 3 times per week and doing arm exercises with 5 pound weights.
