Gestational diabetes
Can anyone tell me if you have had this did it go away after you gave birth?

I just gave birth a week ago and I had gestationl diabetes through out my pregnancy. And I went away....

I had it and it went away. I never tested my suagrs after birth - my doctor said not to worry and it could take time to stabilze but no need to diet anymore!! At 6 weeks, I did take a 2 hour glucose test to be sure and I passed - no issues. Now to see if I get it this pregnancy again...keeping my fingers crossed. Gotta get tested in a couple weeks.

Thanks, everyone  it helps me to think that pizza and ice-cream can be in my near future!!! I miss those things so much!

Oh yeah - Carvel was brought to me in the hospital (even though it was Februray!) and I lived on pizza after the baby was born.
