So I went to the Oncologist yesterday...he explained what his roll would be in the surgery (he is on call in case they find something besides the cyst). My surgery will be scheduled for Feb 22nd or 26. My doctor told me to expect to be in the hospital for 2 - 4 days and then home for at least at week...he said it was major abdominal surgery (i.e. like a C-section or a hysterectomy incision). I won't have to have a c-section when the baby is born unless there is complications. The cyst is growing with the pregnancy and is now 16 cm..holy CRAP..anyway..I'll keep you posted. I go today for my regular 16 week appointment whoo hooo..Thank you so much for all your prayers and well wishes and FMs..You guys are the BEST
The doctor said that with ever surgery there is a risk (this one would be early labor and absolute worst worst case loss of the pregnancy) but this cyst is already pushing my uterous up and out and it will affect the rest of the pregnancy..they also don't want it to rupture. He said the risks of something happening without the surgery is greater then with the surgery..Thank you so so much for your prayers..i need all the help I can get!!
Good luck Stacey... well for one thing you will probably lose a lot of that baby belly very quickly!!
My sister had a cyst the size of a basketball...and they removed it with no complications at all.
That's what I said..ahhaha...I was like I'll get this thing removed and be skinny again NOT..The doctor said its like your baby has a duplex the cyst is so big hehehe
