Which is cheaper to install...
french doors or sliding glass doors
I really like both and can't decide

I would think the same, no? We went with french doors (off our dining room and leads to a back deck) because I like how they both can open up fully. They are screened too, so its nice in the spring and fall to "open up" the house. Plus it was nice to be able to bring in furniture through them without having to squeeze it through a door! Sliding doors only give you one side access.

It actually depends upon the model and manufacturer.
There are some high end doors in both styles.
I think it depends upon the look you want. If you exit the doors and then have steps down you might want to go with a slider, otherwise you will have that door dangling above the steps and possibly interferring with a railing. If you are going onto a deck or pation that is flush with the house than you can do either. Some people like to make sure they have enough room on either side of the French doors to allow them to swing completely back so they don't stick out.
All things to consider.
BTW: The stationary side of a slider can be removed temporarily to bring bigger pieces of furniture inside and outside. It's not something you want to do everyday but it can be done relatively easily. I once lived in an apt. where my main access was a sliding glass door and that's what we did to get my furniture in.

I think French doors may be a little more expensive to buy, as for install the price might be around the same.
My father in law, brother in law and neighbor installed ours.
We got the doors from Lowes and they are Pella's with the grates. The door cost us $500 plus $80 for shipping.
