Cleaning Lady spinoff-
Do any of you or your DH's want a cleaning lady but the other doesn't?
I can't tell you how much of an argument this is for us- I desperately want one and DH doesn't!!!
It drives me crazy that we can't agree!!!
Any selling points?

Yeah if you are doing most of the cleaning, then I would have an issue with DH saying no.
Our situation is different. I like to clean and DH would rather have a cleaning person. So far i have won out.
We had a cleaning lady that we paid $80 a week and they stunk. They would come for a little over an hour and forget to clean certain areas of teh house and talk on their phones the whole time. They broke numerous stuff around my house (including the brand new vaccuum cleaner) and put stuff away that we have never been able to find. That was it for me.

Re: Cleaning Lady spinoff-
This is the exact disagreement that DH and I have been having for the last few weeks!!!!! I really want one and DH doesn't. He doesn't want one because he is a very private person and doesn't like the idea of someone being in our apartment and "touching" his stuff!
Our problem is that both DH and I work long hours. There is no time for me to clean at night and I don't want to spend all weekend cleaning. DH attempts to clean, but I have to nag him and he never does a good job!
I actually just got the phone # for my friend's cleaning person and told him that this was it - we are getting one (thought I haven't called yet!).
My selling points are: 1) Let's try it for a few months to see how it works out 2) I will no longer nag him to clean 3) I will be less stressed because I am always mad our apartment is not clean 4) We also live in a co-op in a high rise so we need to be VIGILANT about cleaning the kitchen - this will help us. 5) She will be cleaning when we are not home so he won't even notice that she has touched any of his stuff!
I am really hoping that once we try it, DH will change his mind
