Hey ladies. Did you and DH agree exactly when the right time to TTC was? Anyone want to before DH did??

In my "practice" marriage, we did not agree. I waited a year so we could enjoy married life and then brought it up again... he still wanted to wait and I did not. Turns out, he said he didn't want children in the end.
This time, the marriage that's perfect! - we were not planning this, but had both agreed that we would want children right away (due to my age) OR, if we did get pregnant, we'd be happy and that's what happened. (I had literally just went off the pill!)
I think it's really important for both people to agree or to find out why the other partner might not be ready yet.

I agree. We actually weren't TTC...but had agreed that we were not not trying either. Ideally, we would've waited until this summer to try, but life had other ideas and we'll be having this baby this summer instead! It was important to be on the same page about things...even a blessing like a child can wreak havoc on a marriage if both of you are not in the same place.

I was the one who waited We had DD and I just wanted the perfect timing. Now he is gung ho-better be cause we are 6 weeks preggo today

We agreed together to wait two years after we got married to have a baby. We're not married 1.5 years with a 7 month old baby I guess our "plans" weren't what was in our big picture after all.
As for our second baby, we agreed to wait until we at least own a house. That's the only pre-requisite. That, and I just need a break

We agreed. Well he agreed with me that I wanted to be married 1 year before we tried & that we wanted them close in age.

The decision to come off the pill was mine because I didn't like the way it made me feel. After that we agreed when to stop using condoms and let nature do its thing.

DH wanted to TTC since before we got married. I was not as anxious. We decided to take the "let's see what happens" route & it took us several years. Now that we are neither one of us could be happier!

we both agreed for the timing to be right and if it did not happen in the 2 months of trying we would have to hold out for a year to try the same 2 months, due to my work schedule.....

We already have a son and just got married September. It was actually DH who wanted another one right away...
It was me who thought we should wait a little while. We wern't exactly trying or preventing... but I'm very excited now for our surprise!!

dh wanted one right away when were were married, i wanted to wait a little longer(we were both young but he was 25, me 22 when we got married). It took me 2 years, and changing houses & settling in before i felt ready, now i feel the timing is perfect I will turn 25 right before im due, we are both really excited
