Has anyone seen the movie Blood Diamond?
I haven't seeing it yet. What are your thoughts?

I saw it about 2 weeks ago. I thought it was an excellent movie. The acting was amazing! It is a little gory and very disturbing. A lot of killing and mutilating. But that was the reality of what really happened.
DH and I both highly recommend seeing it.

agreed! this movie was absolutley my fave movie i've seen in a while. it was so touching and i will never look at a diamond the same way ever again! I highly recommend this movie!!! Leo was spectacular and deserves the oscar nod...and surprisingly i thought his accent would annoy me but it didnt at all!

going to see it this weekend (still in the theatres here, we get movies months after america). for those that saw it, does it just deal with Sierra Leone diamonds or also DeBeers?
when we got our ering, we investigated what mine we wanted it from. we chose a canadian diamond, which has somewhat better mines and not controlled by DeBeers.
