I am always thankful, but feel bad bumping my own post for that reason (don't want others to see it as a gratuitous bump)
I've never thought of this and now feel bad for not thanking people for their advice.....
My sentiments too.

I sometimes get to my post late and don't like to bump the post up for no reason.
I appreciate every, single word of advice but I also am not a huge FM-er...
I'm the same way. I am definitely appreciative of any help or advice given when I ask.

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
I always try to thank people for responding to my. Usually, I'll put a TIA in the op. If I get a lot of responses, then I will post another thank you. I really appreciate the effort people make and want to let them know that.

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
I always try to say thank you in my original post...HOWEVER awhile back I FM'd two girls for some advice on a certain thing and they both responded to me and helped me out a lot. I was not on in a couple of days and right after that FM with all the information was another one sent the next day by one of the girls saying "and by the way your welcome for all the advice". I was like Some people have to realize that some posters are not on every day or every hour. Sometimes i will post a question and not be back on for a day or two. I just responded back saying sorry i was away the last few days and just saw her orignal FM and thanked her. Never heard back.
So I personally never am looking for a "thank you" from someone. I know most people are grateful for any advice i provide them.
But then again that is just me.

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
Let me clarify why I made this post...
I wasn't saying that every poster that made a suggestion or helped in a post get an individual thank you BUT if you go back and read the post to get the advice/help is it so hard to post "Thanks all"???? After all, you are reading the post.....who cares if its dropped to the next page or 2....at least acknowledge that you read it and that people didnt waste their time responding....KIWM???
I guess maybe I look at it a different way....

I understand where you are coming from, and I don't even think you are wrong - but I personally don't feel it's necessary.
I don't object to people doing it, and I might even start to do it more, but personally it doesn't bother me at all if someone posts a question, gets 30 replies, and doesn't come back and say thanks.
I don't consider it a waste of time if I replied on that thread...I assume the person read the replies considering they started the thread. It just doesn't bother me.
