Can Anyone Give Me Tips For A Walk Thru
I'm having my walk thru tonight (yeah!)
I know to turn on/off every light switch, faucet, shower head, heat, etc. but is there anything else I should do? Anything else I should know?
TIA for your help!

flush the toilets - check the heat/hot water
also, if anything was in your contract that said it should be done, make sure it was done!

at least for us, the inspecton company that came in to inspect the house before we went into contract gave us a paper record of the report. The last 5 pages of the report was a check list of what we needed to check and see when we do a walk through and what to remind us to do upon moving into the house (like changing the locks, etc).

If they are supposed to leave a lighting fixture, make sure it's there and if they are not leaving it, make sure it was replaced.
If you have oil heat, make a note of how much oil is in the tank. You usually have to pay the seller for that.
See if there is any damage that was not there when you went to contract (holes in the wall, stained carpet, anything broken, etc).
