Did your DC ever have "Roseola"?

DS has a rash on his face and little tiny bumps all over his body. I thought that he had an allergic reaction to one of the foods I fed him. Well, I bring him to daycare today and three other kids have it and one of the teachers said it could be "Roseola". Did your DC ever had this and how long did it last? TIA

I did some reserach on it and it did say it starts off with a fever and then the rashes appear. He never had the fever. I'll be taking him to the doctor first thing tomorrow morning and we'll see what he says.

Sara just had Roseola. It was so sad - . My poor princess didnt smile for a week. It starts off with lack of appetite and a high fever. The fever lasts about 3 - 5 days then the rahs appears. Once the rash appears the fever should break. Just be warned that a your sweet child will be very aggitated during this illness. I guess it is like a coxsockie illness. There is nothing to do except comfort them and give motrin for the fever. Chat Icon Chat Icon

The rash is not usually on the face. It is on the chest and tummy area

Bella had this last month. She had a VERY high fever (103.9 and it only went down to 102.8 with continuous motrin) after 3-4 days of solid fever- POOF, it was gone and the next morning she woke up with a rash that thank goodness wasn't severe and lasted 2 days....But the PP is right she was sick from Tuesday to the folowing Monday....
