Re: post your yellow rooms

I have a bananna house! I love it. But I used ventian plaster. I posted pics at one point let me see..

If you go to Aboffs they will custom mix any BM paint into Venetian Plaster. I find it easy to work with and the look blows sponge painting away! I can't find pics. I'll keep looking or FM them if you want later?ETA: Found post!

The pic is kind of small but i can FM you better close ups later. This pic does not do it justice. I also have a wall I covered with paper bags using wallpaper paste. People love it and it cost me about $5!

here's a few shots of our living room. There is a light yellow on the top half of the wall and a mustard color on the bottom.

I thought I had a better pic with more of the wall, but this is the only one I could find. It's our dining room - it's kind of a muted yellow from sherman williams

Re: post your yellow rooms

Sorry There isn't a better shot of the walls. I was taking the pics of the new area rug. The room is Hawthorn Yellow by BM with reds and browns. I get lots of compliments on it.

Re: post your yellow rooms

since youre all being so helpful, I need another word of advice, we're painting over paneling. my hubby already primed.
now my thoughts are that a faux finish would kinda camouflage the "stripes" (panels) in the wall, am I right? it wouldnt be as obvious im hoping...

Hmm then you should do venetian plast than! Its a plaster type application!Link on applying it
Honestly it is time consuming but the look can't be beat IMO!

Re: post your yellow rooms

My first picture came out all smudged for some reason.

The second one was a pottery barn picture from almost 2 years ago.

I have SW paint in my LR & DR and it looks just like this color. Its called Blond - I LOVE it. We painted and then 6 months later redid the entire downstairs and we repainted to same color, thats how much I love it. I dont have pics on this computer though

ETA to add we painted over paneling. It was already painted when we bought the house but... The lines are not as bad I think cause it is a lighter color
