Where do you keep your tv?

If you have a living room and a den, which do you have a tv in both, or just one of those rooms?
We currently have a tv in the den, but my husband is pretty set on having one in the living room also, and I kind of like not having one in there....
I'm curious what other people do.

since we will also have a finished basement

TVs will be in the Den and basement ONLY

The livingroom we will keep formal looking...

We will move our big TV to the basement once it is finished. Our living room is small and is suppossed to be "formal" since our house also has a den (but that is where our apt. is)... so the big TV will go down and in the more formal LR we weill be getting a piano in place of the TV We may get a small plasma to hang on the wall above the piano.

Our biggest tv is in the basement. I do have one in the living room too. I actually think the den with fireplace will be the room that doesn't have one. I like the idea of relaxing by the fire and reading...not watching tv.

Den only. I think it depends on the layout of your home. I have an open floor so it doesn't make sense to have a TV in my living room. If your den/living room is in a totally separate room or in a different section of the house it might make sense having a TV in both areas.

we have a great room that is 1/2 formal living area & 1/2 dining. Our small gas fireplace is in there too-no TV.
Our basement has a family room with the tv, video games & game table.
When DH & I are home alone(most weeknights) we watch TV in the guest room, its right near the kitchen & we use it as a little den. When my college age son moves out in the future we will make his room into a den, its very big & has its own bathroom.

We have a finished basement, den, a small family room adjacent to the kitchen and a formal living room.

NO TV in the formal living room when we get around to furnishing it. Right now, there is a TV in the basement (our big screen) and one in the Den.

bedrooms (in 2) - on dresser and in armoire

Ours is in the living room - for now.

We have a lower level we are getting refinishd to be a family room, where the TV will be and all the kids toys will be. When this happens (and I am not holding my breath), there will be NO TV in our living room. But at that point, I think I will add a small one to my kitchen.

TV in Den and master bedroom only..

None in kitchen, livingroom, basement or children's bedrooms.

we have 3 TVs. In the living room, the master bedroom and our kitchen. We don't have a den or a finished basement.

We have a living room and a room we were calling the "study" That became too pretentious for me so now we refer to that room as the "den". Since DH and I both work at home, the den has the computer, but no tv. Our tv is in the living room, but both rooms are casual. If I wanted a more formal LR then I would probably want the tv in the den, even though it's more of a home office/workspace for us.

We have a living room and "sitting room" (den down here) in the main level. The TV is in the living room. We also have one in our master bedroom.

When we get the monster flat screen, it'll stay in the living room. The sitting room will become a "game room" with a pool table, bar, etc.

I'm thinking of taking the one out of our master though.

We only have a living room, but will (hopefully) have a finished basement soon. We will have one in the living room and one in the basement (as well as one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom and one in the guest room... man thats really embarassing to admit)

we have a living room and a den, tv in den only. And master and guest bedroom.

DH has one in his office and we have one in our den.

Living Room and Den/Office.

But the living room one is in an armoire that is kept closed most of the time so it still looks formal.

We hang out in the office most, but it's too small if we are entertaining people, so we needed the TV in the LR too.

The 60" TV is in the basement (in DH's "theatre room") and we have a regular 27" in the Den in a wall unit. The livingroom is kept formal.

Family room only. In both houses we did not keep a TV in the living room.

one in living room
one in bedroom (no cable though, only for watching channel 11 lineup at night)
one in kitchen. ---its an extra. we put it on maybe 3 times. if that.

We have 5 TV's in our house

One in the living room, a drop down one in the kitchen (not hooked up), one in our bedroom, one in the office & one in the home gym
