Working poll...how many of you are?.....
Just curious and being nosey, as usual.
ETA: I should have included working full-time and part time from home as somethign other than a SAHM. I forgot
And to answer my own question, I work as a music teacher full-time.

I am a high school teacher--FT of course.
After I have the 2nd in May, I will be a SAHM...I hate to sound selfish, but I'm pretty depressed even thinking about it.

NOT SELFISH AT ALL! I need my job for my sanity! I give SAHM SO much credit because I would not be able to do it!

Thanks Rachel; I'm glad you said that. When I think of a word that defines me..."teacher" is the first word that comes to mind definitely (and I'm sure you know what I mean). Ah, well, I'll be back one day.

I'm a FT SAHM. But I sometimes do some consulting work on the side for the company that I worked for before I had my kids. It's only a few hours a month, hardly even worth saying I work PT.

I put other because I am currently home on maternity leave but on January 30th (DD's 6-month birthday) I will return to work FT. I am also a teacher.

I work full time but I have my own company so my hours are somewhat flexible, and my "office" is either my house or my parents house. So I'm able to bring E with me when I'm not out on appointments.

I work full time - hours can definitely be tough at times. Luckily the commute gives me my own time to catch up with friends via email, read, etc. As soon as I walk though the door, it's my kids' time until bedtime.

I answered for my DW. She's a full-time SAHM. Before we decided to try having kids, we agreed and arranged the finances so that she can be a F/T SAHM until the youngest one starts going to school. When that happens, she can decide if she wants to work P/T, F/T, or stay at home.
I've been home on medical leave for 8 weeks now, so I've been home with the kids all the time, too. I always knew she had her hands full and did a lot of work, and put up with a lot, but now I know that there's no way I could do it myself! Wow, raising 2 little kids is a lot of work!
