Anyone get an "abnormal" pap smear during pregnancy?
I just got back and there was a slight abnormalacy on my pap smear 
Anyone else have this happen?
My doctor said it's common and he sees it a lot, due to what the body is going through, that it's no cause for worry. He said that in a few weeks, it might be normal again. He also reassured me that is has absolutely no affect on my pregnancy or delivery or anything to do with the baby. But hearing "abnormal" is never a good feeling.

I think you need to press for more details. Ask for a copy of your labs(if you FM me I can help you with that) Was it dysplasia, BV? What was abnormal. Not acceptable IMO. Get a copy!

I heard him mention that word, but didn't say that's what it was... I don't think?
Seriously, I heard "abnormal" and I shut off. My mom had to tell me what he said after that.

My paps are always abnormal - I have HPV. Dr. says it should not affect the pregnancy or baby.

I had abnormal paps which led my dr to believe I had HPV. I had a procedure done to remove them and now my paps are always NORMAL, for about 3 years straight. Does your dr think that abnormal paps are OK??? Have you had any treatment for the abnormal cells?

I had an abnormal pap once before, my dr didn't want me to worry until he did the follow up paps.
I had 2-3 paps after that and they all came back normal.
I would ask specifically what was abnormal about the pap.

I did. They had me come back 6 omths PP and everything was fine.
