13 vials of blood!!
Yup that's what I gave this morning -- and the funny thing is, I have NO idea what they are for!!!
Any ideas, ladies? I am 14w on Thursday....

They took 17 from me and did some genetic testing after I had 2 MC.

Oh Kara, I know the feeling, I had 12. I know 2 were taken b/c I have cats ( even though they are indoor they still wanted to test) and I know at least 1 was for the HIV test ( passed  ) but not sure what the others were for. Most of my friends only had about 6.

I had 14 vials done at the very beginning but 14 weeks? Hmm
Ok , stupid question, they didnt tell you why or what the blood was for? And you didnt ask?

They took a bunch for me...it was all blood tests for rubella, measles etc

i had my big work up done at 8weeks and it was 11!!!! they test for everything possible - all genetic stuff to HIV. they even test for lead - i actually hadto fill out a quesitonaire that asked if i chewed paint chips!!!!!! can u imagine?!?!?!?!?!?!

I had the same thing at 14 weeks, I asked but they never told me what so many and why, so nothing is wrong so I am really not worried!

When the OB gave me the paperwork I had no idea that they would be taking 13 vials. You don't get that by looking at the paperwork. He just said routine bloodwork. At the lab, the lady said she hadn't read what the tests were for, just knew we needed 13 vials...

They only did 6 vials of blood work from me when I went at 8 weeks. I wonder why they did'nt do more I thought that was bad you ladies had way more than me.
